We recently had an opportunity to chat with Alyce about her journey to becoming a certified Reiki Master. We also learned about her Crystal Chakra Balancing service and the transformative power of Ceremonial Cacao. It’s no secret that Alyce’s passion for spiritual growth and healing shines through in everything she does. This includes our conversation with her, which was both enlightening and inspiring.

I would love to know more about the spark that ignited your passion for Reiki. What inspired you to become a practitioner? Could you share with us the heart-warming story of how you discovered this healing practice and what drew you to it?
The spark that ignited my passion for Reiki was a mixture of curiosity and the desire to use a holistic approach to aid healing for my son, Noah (who was just a baby at the time) and myself, after we had gone through a very traumatic birth together. I also didn’t realise it at the time, but I was searching for ‘myself’ after becoming a mother for the first time.
I had been receiving distant Reiki sessions for myself, something felt very comforting and familiar about Reiki, similar to the feeling of Deja Vu. The final push of encouragement to embark on this journey was inspired by two ladies I knew who were Reiki practitioners themselves. They had both encouraged me to embark on my own Reiki journey. I just had to seek a Reiki Master who could teach me the Reiki way.
Not long after this push, I saw a poster for Reiki which I had never noticed in the frequent visits I made to this place. To cut a long story short, I was recommended to a very close friend of hers who was a Reiki Master and taught students. The rest is history! I began my level 1 training; this means you can practice self-Reiki and become familiar with the energy for yourself. Once I felt comfortable and ready, I embarked onto level 2; this means you can practice on yourself and others.
I sat with my level 2 for a while, practising self-Reiki and Reiki on clients before I decided I was ready to become a Reiki Master myself. Becoming a Reiki Master means you have the ability to teach students and attune them to each level of Reiki. By this time, I had my second baby (my special rainbow baby), and she was present while this attunement and training took place. This will forever be a very special moment I share with my daughter, Ruby!

As a practitioner who has worked with a variety of spiritual healing practices, which practice do you believe has the power to create the most profound transformation and healing for those who experience it?
I am a huge believer that everything happens for a reason and happens when it is supposed too. There is no such thing as a coincidence. BUT this can be very difficult to navigate in this life experience and we are forever learning and seeking which path to take, this can at times be very confusing and overwhelming. I too experience this myself as I navigate motherhood with a toddler and baby.
From my personal experience and through helping others, you are your most powerful tool! Consistency and doing the work is the key, this will help you to achieve your desired results. Your mind, body and soul are such powerful tools, you have the tools within. In addition to your own power, support from other practices (i.e Reiki, meditation, etc.) when done consistently will aid your journey to healing. The journey won’t always be easy, you will be forced to face traumas, blockages, limiting beliefs, shadow work, etc. but until we overcome the hurdles, they will remain with you. I can’t express enough, consistency is key.

What kind of transformational and soulful journey can clients expect to embark on during your Crystal Chakra Balancing service? I’m curious to know more about the beautiful healing journey that you offer through this transformative practice.
My clients are invited into a safe space, a room where they can remove their mask and truly be themselves. They may express and feel with absolutely no judgement. Throughout the Crystal Chakra Balance, the client is invited to lay on a massage table, get comfortable and embark on 30 minutes of uninterrupted, self-care time. Throughout this session the client will be guided into a relaxed state through meditation, crystals are placed onto each of their 7 main chakras and Reiki is used to aid in the balancing of chakras.
During the session as the Reiki energy and crystal energies work together with the client, they may experience visions or see past memories, feelings and sensations, hear sounds, receive ideas or clarity or simply go into a deep state of consciousness allowing their mind, body and soul to move through lower brainwave states i.e. Alpha, Theta or possibly Delta. These brainwave states are the ultimate consciousness relaxation states before Delta aka sleep.
Post session the client will feel very relaxed, sometimes emotional, other times re-energised. After the session allow up to 48 hours to receive the full Reiki energy. Each individual and experience is different from the other. No session is the same.

Can you share with us the unique properties of Ceremonial Cacao? How can it be used in rituals and spiritual practice?
The criollo bean was highly revered in ancient times. It was used as currency and valued more highly than gold. Criollo cacao was traditionally used by the priests, shamans and spiritual elite in the ancient Mayan, Aztec & Olmec cultures as a spiritual partner. We are told that the shamans of these ancient cultures infused their prized cacao beans with spirit, to give it a dimension not found in other cacao varieties. Ceremonial Cacao is an ancient plant medicine, a heart opener, a wisdom keeper, a consciousness facilitator, teacher and creative partner. In modern terms, it is classed as an entheogen.
